Blackburn Rovers have suffered a setback in their promotion bid with the news that midfielder John Buckley has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The 23-year-old sustained knee ligament damage in last week’s 3-2 loss at Stoke and will be sidedlined for 10 to 12 weeks.
Buckley has made 28 appearances in all competitions this term, but will now miss the run-in.
The midfielder had become an integral part of Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side and has already notched up more than 100 league appearances for the club.
