Wolves sign goalkeeper Andy Lonergan

have brought in goalkeeper Andy Lonergan for an undisclosed fee.

The 32-year-old had been at Craven Cottage for less than a year after he joined from last July.

Lonergan firmly established himself as Fulham’s first choice keeper last season, making 31 appearances as the West London side finished in a disappointing 20th position in the .

The new signing will now battle it out with Carl Ikeme for a starting position at Molineux.

Lonergan told Wolves’ official club website, “Wolves is a massive club and one of those when you play them you always know it is going to be a tough game and the atmosphere is fantastic.

“To be part of that, and hopefully a successful team at Molineux, is something I am looking forward to.

“In my opinion Carl is comfortably one of the top three keepers in the league. It is up to me to put pressure on him.”

It is believed that the goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a two-year-contract with the Midlands club.
