Oldham’s Coleman makes Huddersfield switch

Town have signed goalkeeper Joel Coleman from for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper was a regular starter between the sticks at Boundary Park this season and won plenty of plaudits for his performances in .

boss David told the club's official website, “Recruiting goalkeepers has been a big priority for the Club in this transfer window due to Jed Steer's return to and Joe Murphy's injury. Joel's arrival is an important part of this at First Team level.

“Joel will arrive at the Club to challenge for the number one position and with potential to develop into a fantastic goalkeeper. It is unusual for a goalkeeper aged 20 to have Joel's First Team experience and he has shown lots of potential in his performances for , which we have watched closely.

“Obviously a goalkeeper must be excellent at the fundamentals of the position first – keeping the ball out of the net – but Joel's ability with the ball at his feet is also ideal for our style of play.

“We're all excited at working with Joel on the training pitch and in games for the next three years, at least.”

In what was a busy day at the club, Huddersfield also confirmed the signing of former Croatia Under 21 midfielder Ivan Paurevicfrom Russian side FC UFA.

The 24-year-old played under Wagner for Borussia Dortmund's reserve side and ended his Russian experience in dramatic fashion by scoring twice in a 3-1 victory over Spartak Moscow to secure FC UFA's Premier Division status for another season.
