Derby County have announced that Harry Redknapp has taken up a role as football adviser at the club.
The 69-year-old has signed a contract until the end of the season and will provide assistance to Derby Head Coach Darren Wassall.
Redknapp has had a distinguished career as a manager, taking charge of Bournmouth, West Ham, Portsmouth, Southampton. Tottenham and QPR. He has won six trophies and was named Premier League Manager of the Year in 2010.
Redknapp told Derby's official club website,.“From the first conversation I had with the Chairman it was clear he has exciting plans for the football club. I am delighted to be able to help out and am looking forward to working with Darren and his team.”
Meanwhile Derby Chairman Mel Morris said, ““It is excellent news that Harry has agreed to join us. His experience spans over several decades and he is one of the most knowledgeable and informed figures in the game”.
