ISMAEL REMAINS PATIENT AFTER SCOTT KO

VALERIEN Ismael says Blackburn will not dip into the free agent market following a long-term injury to centre-back Scott Wharton.
The 28-year-old damaged his achilles tendon during the 1-0 win at Bristol City earlier this month and will be out for a minimum of ten weeks.
However, Ismael says the time required to get a free agent up to speed, combined with a high volume of games over the festive period, makes signing out-of-contract players pointless.
