SUNDERLAND’S pursuit of promotion to the Premier League has suffered a major setback with the news that star winger Romaine Mundle will be out until 2025.
The former Tottenham man, 21, has been in superb form this season, notching four goals and two assists to help the rejuvenated Wearsiders hit the Championship summit.
But Mundle came off clutching his hamstring during the 2-2 draw with Coventry prior to the last international break and Black Cats boss Regis Le Bris has now confirmed that the wideman sustained a tear in that game.
