Chair to appeal over his prison stretch

QPR midfielder Ilias Chair is set to appeal after being sentenced to a year in prison for breaking a truck driver’s skull with a rock.
The Belgian-born Moroccan international was also handed a further 12 months suspended and ordered to pay the victim 15,864 euros at a hearing in Antwerp.
Two other men were found guilty at the trial and sentenced to six and 12 months in prison respectively.
All of the charges relate to an incident that occurred in northern France following a kayaking trip in 2020.
