Striker Ali glad to join Tractor Boys’ bid

New Ipswich Town striker Ali Al-Hamadi insists he is ready to make the two-division leap to the Championship.
The 21-year-old scored 17 goals in 29 appearances for League Two side AFC Wimbledon this season and joins Kieran McKenna’s promotion-chasing Tractor Boys on a deal until 2028.
“Ipswich is a club on an upward trajectory with a manager who is known for developing players,” said Al-Hamadi, who won his 12th cap for Iraq at the Asian Cup last month. “So I feel like I am ready to make the step up and this feels like the perfect fit for me.
