Ian Foster says his work with Alfie Devine in the England set-up will give the Tottenham youngster a head start to life at Plymouth Argyle.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Port Vale, has joined the Pilgrims on a loan deal that runs until the end of the season.
“I’ve known Alfie since his Wigan days, when I was working for the FA,” said Foster, who managed England’s Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 teams before replacing Steven Schumacher at Home Park earlier this month.
