Nathan Tella has thanked the Southampton coaches for keeping their faith with him after he landed a £20m move to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
The 24-year-old, who has signed a five-year deal with the German club, was back with the Saints this year having starred on loan at Burnley last season.
The electric forward hit 19 goals as Vincent Company’s Clarets won the Championship title.
Tella joined the Saints’ academy from Arsenal when he was 17 and this year scored once in his three appearances amid speculation of a move.
