Teenage defender Ash Phillips has thanked Blackburn Rovers for their role in developing him as a player after landing a dream move to Premier League Tottenham.
Phillips, who turned 18 in June, has developed into one of the most highly-rated young players in the country since joining Rovers academy as an under-12.
He made his senior debut aged just 17 in Rovers’ Carabao Cup victory over Hartlepool last August, before making his first Championship start in a 2-1 victory over West Brom at Ewood Park just a few days later.
