Pearson eyes more defensive options…

Bristol City boss Nigel Pearson says defensive reinforcements are essential if the Robins are to challenge for the play-offs next season.
Having struggled to balance the books post-Covid, the Championship side have offloaded several big earners over the last 12 months and earned £10.5m from the sale of striker Antoine Semenyo to Bournemouth in January.
Alex Scott, the Robins’ talented England Under-21 midfielder, is also expected to leave in the summer for a fee in excess of £20m.
