Hull pick up both monthly awards

Steve Bruce and Abel Hernandez have been awarded the Championship Manager and Player of the Month awards respectively.

The Tigers had a fantastic January in which they won all four league games, whilst only conceding one goal.

Bruce’s side were certainly helped by the goal scoring exploits of Abel Hernandez who netted six league goals last month.

The Hull boss was full praise for his star striker. “A goalscorer is so crucial to any team, but Abel’s the first to know that the team behind him has provided the chances to him.” said Bruce.

Hull are currently sitting at the summit of the Championship and look increasingly set for an instant return to the Premiership following relegation last season.

The Tigers will be looking to carry on their brilliant form when they travel to Turf Moore tomorrow.
