Unlucky Wigan Athletic defender Martin Kelly has been sidelined for the rest of the season after sustaining a serious knee injury on his debut for the club.
He was forced off during the second half of Monday’s goalless draw at Blackburn, which was new manager Shaun Maloney’s first game in charge.
The 32-year-old former Liverpool and Crystal Palace defender joined on loan from West Brom until the end of the campaign at the end of January.
