Burnley striker Ashley Barnes has been hit with an FA charge for insulting Blackburn fans in the aftermath of last month’s derby.
Barnes, 33, scored twice in a 3-0 win for the Clarets and was asked in a live TV interview how it felt to net his first league goals of the season.
“Every goal is special but to score against the b******s there is amazing,” he said.
The clip was widely circulated on social media and came to the attention of the FA.
