Tommy’s so grateful to football family

Former Championship ace Tommy Spurr has thanked the footballing family for their “absolutely amazing” support as his brave son Rio fights stage four cancer.
Rio, who celebrated his fourth birthday this month, was diagnosed with a rare type of kidney cancer called Wilms’ tumour in April after ex-Sheffield Wednesday, Blackburn, Doncaster and Preston defender Tommy and his wife Chloe found a small lump when he complained about having stomach ache.
