COVENTRY City striker Matt Godden faces a spell on the sidelines after having emergency surgery to remove his appendix.
The 30-year-old has been a key man for the Sky Blues this term, notching ten Championship goals.
It’s not clear yet how long he will be out, but the good news was that his problem was diagnosed quickly.
“On Tuesday afternoon I started feeling stomach cramps that by the evening were unbearable,” tweeted Godden.
