PRESTON boss Ryan Lowe is confident Connor Wickham could still do a job for a Championship team if he can stay fit.
The 28-year-old striker left North End this week after his short-term deal expired.
Wickham managed just two appearances for the club after suffering a hamstring problem in September.
He has struggled with injuries throughout his career, but Lowe said:
“I think he would be a threat for anyone, especially in the Championship.
“He has left fit, so I hope he finds a club soon and they can get him fully fit and playing.”
