READING goalkeeper Luke Southwood believes the return of three key players will be “a big boost” ahead of the busy Christmas period.
Alen Halilovic (hamstring), Dejan Tetek and Femi Azeez (hamstring) all returned to the squad against Sheffield United in midweek after injury and illness.
Southwood, 23, emphasised just how important their return is for rest and rotation ahead of a busy schedule over the festive period.
“It’s a big boost for everyone seeing them back,” he said. “They’re going to be big players for us, it’s key to be able to give players rest.”
