LEWIE Coyle’s ankle injury will be taken “week by week”, but Hull City boss Grant McCann admits his absence is a blow for the club.
The 26-year-old full-back was forced off in the 37th minute of the Tigers’ win at Barnsley before the international break and faces a spell on the sidelines.
Boss McCann said: “It’s unfortunate to lose Lewie. We were adamant that it was a kick that he received against Barnsley, but he’s done some ligament damage in his ankle.
“We’ll just have to take it week by week and see where he is.”
