MATTY Virtue has described seeing Blackpool reach the play-off final last season as “a bittersweet moment”.
The midfielder has been out of action since March after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury against Oxford, meaning he was unable to play against Lincoln in the Wembley showpiece which saw them promoted to the Championship.
Virtue said: “It came at a time when the team was playing well, and I felt that I was playing well. We were in a really good moment, so it was disappointing personally for it to happen at that point.
