AS NEW Year’s Day drew to a close, things looked pretty bleak for Tony Mowbray and Blackburn Rovers.
Beaten 3-2 away at Nottingham Forest, the Lancastrians lay 13th in the Championship. One win in six games had seemingly sapped morale, while a season-ending injury to Bradley Dack deprived Mowray of his most creative player. The season looked stone dead.
