ALEX Neil saluted his Preston troops after victory over struggling Wigan took the the Lilywhites back into the play-off places.
The visitors were in front inside seven minutes at the DW Stadium through Tom Barkhuizen, before Daniel Johnson doubled the lead four minutes after the restart.
