BUOYANT ROBINS BID TO BUILD ON SUCCESS

BRISTOL City manager Lee Johnson felt as flat as a pancake after last week’s 3-0 defeat at Luton, so their dramatic midweek win against Charlton has lifted spirits at Ashton Gate.
It also lifted the Robins in the table – they climbed to fourth place ahead of the weekend programme thanks to Josh Brownhill’s 98th minute winner.
Macauley Bonne had put Charlton ahead on 65 minutes, but sub Famara Diedhiou levelled things up ten minutes later before getting himself sent off with four minutes left for kicking out at a grounded Jason Pearce.
