WILL Atkinson’s experience could be key after returning to Port Vale, according to boss John Askey.
The 29-year-old former Hull, Bradford and Southend midfielder returned to Vale Park on a short-term deal on Friday.
Atkinson, who had a loan spell with the Valiants 12 years ago, was without a club after leaving Mansfield.
