SHEFFIELD Wednesday are unlikely to make it this year, but next season look out for them as contenders.
Steve Bruce has shored up the defence and with the confidence of not conceding goals comes a top team. If they make it this season it would be a miracle given they are six points off the play-offs and there are several clubs in front of them with the same ambition.
But next season? Bruce is unbeaten in the league since going to Wednesday at the turn of the year, first by proxy as he took an extended family holiday, and now later as he is fully hands-on.
