AS I sat down to write this column, I received a text from Scott Laird, my leftback at both Stevenage and Preston. I’m sure we’ll see him emerge again in 2019 from the Forest Green shadows into prominence elsewhere in that division or higher. He may not be in favour but he’s too good to sit on the sidelines.
