MANSFIELDplaymaker Jacob Mellis wishes he had been presented with the opportunity to play with Neal Bishop “years ago” after striking up a fruitful partnership with the veteran midfielder.
Former Chelsea trainee Mellis has been an important player for the Stags this season, scoring key goals against fellow high-fliers MK Dons and Lincoln.
The 27-year-old attributed his recent good form to the strong relationship he has built up with former former Scunthorpe schemer Bishop, 37.
