BEES PAY TRIBUTE TO CLUB CHIEF ROWAN

BRENTFORD paid their respects to former technical director Robert Rowan at their home game against Middlesbrough yesterday.
Rowan died of heart failure earlier this month aged just 28 and the Bees planned a host of tributes at their first match since his death.
There was a minute’s applause before the game and, during the match, the Brentford players wore black armbands.
However, in a special move, the club has sought permission to add Rowan to their squad list for the remainder of the season, and have allocated him the No.5 shirt.
