CROOKS ‘SUCH A TALENT’

NEW Northampton boss Keith Curle believes midfielder Matt Crooks possesses “untold ability and talent”.
Former Accrington and Rangers man Crooks, 24, scored a first-half hat-trick as the Cobblers crushed Macclesfield 5-0 at Moss Rose.
“The lad’s got untold ability, untold talent and he’s got the ability to do that from anywhere on the pitch,” said Curle following the emphatic away victory.
“Against Macclesfield he understood his role, slotted in on the righthand side and still had the freedom to express himself in front of goal.”
