DEAL FOR HULL IS WAY OFF, CLAIMS ADKINS

HULL head coach Nigel Adkins has admitted that a takeover of the club might not be imminent. Reports have linked former owner Paul Duffen, and two other possible buyers, with a purchase of the Championship outfit from the Allam family. Adkins said he had spoken with owner Assem Allam and added: “It’s a long way from being done, from what I can make out.”
Duffen, who owned the club between 2007 and 2009 and took Hull into the Premier League for the first time, is reported to be going through the process of due diligence.
