MORECAMBE have paid tribute to former club president Jim Bowen, who died this week, aged 80. The former presenter of TV show Bullseye for 14 years, Bowen was given the honorary post at the Shrimps in 2003, a position he held for ten years. Shrimps’ director Rod Taylor said: “It was the club who asked Jim to be president and he was always available when we needed him.
“He never courted personal publicity – in fact, quite the opposite. He maximised publicity for the club, particularly with his TV and radio work for both Ipswich FA Cup games (in 2001 and 2003...
