ACCRINGTON Stanley have sacked midfielder Paddy Lacey after he was handed a 14-month FA ban for breaching anti-doping regulations.
The 24-year-old tested positive for a metabolite of cocaine after the club’s match against Hartlepool on November 22.
He was immediately suspended by Stanley pending the outcome of FA disciplinary action. The League Two side have now terminated his contract. His ban runs until mid-February.
