Derby County have brought in striker Nick Blackman from Reading on a deal thought to be worth around £2.5 million.
The 26-year-old has had a superb start to the season and has netted 13 times in 28 appearances for Reading, making him the Championship's third top goalscorer.
The Rams boss Paul Clement expressed his joy at the transfer, telling the Derby's official club website, “We are delighted to bring one of the Championship's leading goalscorers to the club
“There has been a lot of interest in him so we're naturally happy that he has chosen to join us,” he added.
“We've got a number of talented players in the attacking areas of our squad and Nick only enhances that.”
Blackman's contract with Reading was due to expire at the end of this season and it is believed that negotiations over a new deal had stalled in recent months.
The striker could make his Derby debut in Saturday's FA Cup game at Hartlepool.
