David Marshall (Cardiff)
Cardiff fell to defeat at the iPro Stadium on Saturday but Marshall made a number of sublime saves to keep the score line respectable. He did incredibly well to keep the scores level at half time making brilliant saves to deny Tom Ince and Andreas Weimann.
Defenders
Tariq Holmes-Dennis (Charlton)
The Addicks grabbed an impressive win at St Andrews on Saturday to record their first away victory since March. Holmes-Dennis came into the side in place of Chris Solly and was on hand to deliver a perfectly timed cross for Johnnie Jackson to head home and send the away end in raptures.
Harry Maguire (Hull)
Hull came up against a Bristol City side full of confidence on Saturday. Bristol had only lost once in their last eight games and they dominated for large parts of the match at Ashton Gate. However, Harry Maguire helped Hull's defense stand firm as they returned to Yorkshire with a respectable point.
Daniel Ayala (Middlesbrough)
The 25-year old center back won Middlesbrough a last minute penalty when his dramatic overhead kick was handled by Leroy Fer on the line. The spot kick was subsequently coolly slotted home by Grant Leadbitter as the home side grabbed all three points.
Kirk Broadfoot (Rotherham)
Neil Redfearn had a happy return to Elland Road as Rotherham recorded a surprise victory against Leeds. Defender Kirk Broadfoot did superbly well to deal with the muscular threat of Chris Wood as Rotheram recorded their third clean sheet of the season.
Midfielders
Demarai Gray (Birmingham)
Although Birmingham fell to defeat, Demarai Gray made a series of attacks down the right wing and was unlucky to not grab a first half assist when he played the ball to Jon Toral only for the Arsenal loanee to be brilliantly denied by Stephen Henderson.
Jonathan Douglas (Ipswich)
The 33 year-old put Ipswich ahead against Wolves after with a neat finish and continued to command the middle of the park as the Tractor Boys came within 15 minutes of victory.
Corry Evans (Blackburn)
Blackburn recorded an important win against local rivals Preston on Saturday as Paul Lambert secured three points in his first game as manager. Corry Evans put in a man of the match performance and was unlucky to not grab a superb goal as his 20 yard strike came off the post.
Josh Murphy (MK Dons)
The Norwich loanee almost created a match winning goal against Fulham when he fizzed in an inviting cross form the right hand side which found Darren Potter who failed to guide his effort on target.
Strikers
Sergi Canos (Brentford)
The 18-year old grabbed his first Brentford goal to put the Bees ahead against Nottingham Forrest at Griffin Park. Canos poked home after good work from Harlee Dean, whose far-post header back across goal invited a finish from the Spanish youngster.
Fernando Forestieri (Sheffield Wednesday)
Fernando Forestieri assisted all three of Wednesday's goals as they came from behind to record an important win against David Wagner's Huddersfield. The Italian had a terrific game and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet in the first half when his diving header flew just wide.
Manager of the Week
Paul Lambert (Blackburn)
Saturday's 2-1 victory over Preston was the perfect start to Lambert's tenure as Blackburn manager. The 46-year old will no doubt be hoping that the victory will be a catalyst for a push up the table in the coming weeks.
