Wolves extend Mike Williamson loan

have extended the loan of defender until 16 January.

The 32 year old has put in a number of sterling displays since he joined the Midlands club from on an initial one-months loan in October.

Wolves boss expressed his joy at being able to extend Williamson’s loan, telling the club’s official website, “We’re delighted Mike will be with us through a very busy December and Christmas period

“He has brought a lot of experience and physical presence to the back four.”

Williamson has made 150 appearances for Newcastle since joining the club for an undisclosed fee from in 2010 but found his first team opportunities severely restricted this season.

After an impressive first season back in the last year Wolves have had a more testing campaign this time around.

Jackett’s side are currently sitting in 14th place in the table and face a difficult trip to ‘s on Saturday.
