Imps show six appeal to batter dire Green

MICHAEL Appleton hailed his side’s quality after injury-hit Lincoln City strolled into round two with a thrashing of Forest Green.
The Imps led 2-0 at the break thanks to two Jorge Grant goals. Brennan Johnson added a third, before Anthony Scully scored twice late on, while sub James Jones added a sixth.
Former Imps midfielder Elliott Whitehouse and Jake Young netted consolation goals for Rovers, who had been looking to cause a shock result.
