EXIT: Jordan Pickford

HAVING players recalled from loans in January is a nightmare for managers. It happened to me with Jordan Pickford when I was at Preston.
We’d got him from Sunderland at the start of the 2015- 16 season and - as you’d imagine - he was absolutely brilliant for us.
Unfortunately, Sam Allardyce had just taken over at Sunderland, who were 19th in the Premier League at the time. He called Jordan back - and then put him on the bench for the rest of the season.
