AXED: Gary Rowett has left Oxford United after exactly a year in charge

MICHAEL Beale has been listed as the favourite for the Oxford United manager’s job following the departure of Gary Rowett this week.
And former England captain John Terry is another name in the frame to take his first manager’s job with the Championship strugglers.
Rowett’s fate was sealed by last Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Charlton Athletic – with his departure coming exactly one year into his tenure.
