Pressure piles on Sheffield Wednesday chief as HMRC prepare winding-up petition

Dejphon Chansiri could finally be forced out of Sheffield Wednesday after it emerged that HMRC are poised to slap the beleaguered Owls with a winding-up petition over an unpaid £1m tax bill.
The Championship club are currently operating under five separate EFL embargoes after failing to pay wages on time in five of the past seven months.
Non-playing staff initially received just £1,000 each for their work in September, and many required assistance from players and senior staff to pay bills. Their salaries were belatedly paid in full.
