BLACKPOOL boss Steve Bruce was a happy man after his side enjoyed a morale-boosting 5-0 victory at home against Barrow in the Vertu Trophy.
The Seasiders have enjoyed a difficult start in League One, but put that behind them to launch their Northern Group B campaign in style on Tuesday night.
Scott Banks (7 & 77 minutes) led the way with a double, while Ashley Fletcher (12), Andy Lyons (49) and Dale Taylor (73) all got in on the act against the shell-shocked Bluebirds.
