Championship set for play-off revamp

The Championship play-offs could be in line for a shake up – with the number of participants potentially increasing from four to six.
The addition of an eliminator round would bring the EFL’s top tier closer to how the National League run their end-of-season competition. The Non-League top flight play-offs see the teams who finish second to seventh take part.
If the Championship format changed, it would be the teams from third to eighth involved.
