Stoke sign striker Sam Surridge from Bournemouth on four-year deal

have announced the signing of striker Sam Surridge from on a four-year-contract.

The 23-year-old Bournemouth academy graduate departs the Cherries having made 42 senior appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring seven goals, six of which came last season.

Surridge, who moves for an undisclosed fee, has also had loan spells with , and .

Stoke boss Michael O’Neill said in quotes on the club’s official website: “In terms of a permanent signing Sam has been our number one striking option that we identified.

“We’ve had to be very patient but it’s great to get it done. He’s a young player with all his best years ahead of him and he will be a fantastic addition to our squad.”

Surridge becomes Stoke’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Ben Wilmot, Mario Vrancic and Jack Bonham.
