The magic of The FA Cup

The fa cup is the oldest club competition in world football with it first being played in 1871 and has continued to be a great cup to be involved in with non-league teams always looking to cause an upset against the bigger teams from different leagues. The most recent fa cup seen around about 737 different clubs taking part which is a huge number of football clubs to be involved. It is hard to call who will win the fa cup each year with there being so many different teams involved and quite often some big named teams get knocked out quite early due to lower-ranking teams wanting to prove a point. The bookmakers always do well from the fa cup with football fans placing a lot of different bets on which teams they think will either win the fa cup or betting on how far they think they will progress. You can see a selection of bookmakers here who always offer some great selections to choose from along with other games to keep punters entertained whilst watching their team during the fa cup matches. You never know whom your team will play due to the teams all being put into a pot with each other and picked out at random whilst being aired on tv.

There have been a lot of underdog teams that have knocked out some of the big dogs over the years in the early rounds which is why the fa cup is so thrilling to watch as there are no guaranteed winners, anyone could lift the trophy. There are plenty of stories online about how smaller teams have beat teams’ leagues above them and this is the magic of the fa cup and why it attracts millions of viewers from all around the world who love the sport of football. Each year the fa cup seems to get better and better with there being some amazing football being played by all teams involved due to each player wanting to prove themselves against players that are classed as being the best in the world. A lot of lower league teams usually perform well against the likes of premier league teams as they are always looking to cause an upset in the cup and prove that they can also play football at a high standard. This year’s fa cup has already seen some big teams exit so it is hard to call a winner for this year’s cup.
