NOTTINGHAM Forest joined an exclusive club when they lifted the First Division trophy in their first season after being promoted from the second tier.
Liverpool in 1905, Everton in 1932, Spurs in 1951, Ipswich Town in 1962 and Leeds United in 1992 have all won the title in their first season after promotion.
Brian Clough’s side not only managed that but were also the first team to do the League and League Cup double after John Robertson’s penalty saw off Liverpool.
