HARTLEPOOL United have only had four Football League promotions in their entire history, and Micky Barron played in two.
Brian Clough was manager of their first success in 1968 before Cyril Knowles lifted them out of the Fourth Division 23 years later. Mike Newell oversaw the 2003 success.
Four years later, Danny Wilson also lifted them out of the basement division, with Barron just one of the few players that remained.
