Birmingham City supporters have been waiting for Carlos Vicente to show his class – and the £7m Spaniard is finally delivering.

Last Sunday’s headed opener in the 2-0 victory over Wrexham at St Andrew’s was Vicente’s second goal in eight days, and took his tally to three in 13 games following that big-money transfer from Spanish side Alaves in January.
He ran riot against the Red Dragons, pinning opposing left-back George Thomason in his own half and deservedly walking away with the man of the match award.
