Eyebrows were raised when Coventry City rejected Sheffield United’s £8m bid for Bobby Thomas in August.
Could any Championship club really afford to turn down an offer of that magnitude for a centre-half ? Especially one who, despite two impressive years at the CBS, had faced frequent criticism over his ability on the ball.
