midfielder Lawson D’Ath has described the agony of his two month spell on the sidelines, and his happiness at returning to the fold recently.

The former man suffered an ankle ligaments injury just days before the new season got underway, an issue that has only recently been resolved.

The 24-year-old started in the victory against and then made a 14-minute cameo off the bench in the win at last weekend.

And he is extremely relieved to be back in the thick of it for Nathan ‘ side: “It’s been so frustrating, as I haven’t felt like a footballer for the last month or so,” he told Dunstable Today.

“Obviously I had the first month, too, but I thought maybe I could be there quicker than I could be.

“It kept getting longer and longer and longer, and you’re just getting so frustrated with it – but I’ve worked hard to get back.

“It was just ligaments in the high ankle, a niggly little bit that was stopping me. It was just an annoying injury.

“It felt like I was good and then next thing I do, I had to come back a bit and then go again – it was just frustrating. It was more rest to begin with, ice, let it settle down.”

D’Ath will look to continue his return from injury when the in-form Hatters host at Kenilworth Road this Saturday.
