‘s creative maestro Jamie Paterson has been speaking about the delight he felt when he scored against in the Robins’ 4-1 win over the last month.

City had to come from behind to defeat Gary ‘s side, and the taste of victory was particularly sweet for former man Paterson.

The 25-year-old was at the City Ground for three years before moving to Ashton Gate last summer. He has since become a key player for Lee ‘s side, registering the most assists in the this season.

Some victories are more enjoyable than others, and for a player who’s been on the end of some serious stick from Derby fans over the years, that win ranks among the best.

“It’s always nice for me to score against them, especially as they were singing ‘ reject’ for 90 minutes, which wasn’t annoying me at all. It felt nice in the end.” he told Bristol City’s official website.

Paterson also talked about the club’s fantastic start to the season, saying: “Especially against the teams we’ve played – away was a good win, Wolves was a very good point and not many teams have beat Derby 4-1.

“The way we beat them I  feel like it probably could have been a couple more as well.”

The Robins head into the international break on the back of a terrific 3-1 win at last Saturday, leaving them flying high in fourth in the Championship table.
